On-demand online course is available now
We are thrilled to announce that the embroidery design “Maple Leaves with Small Bird”, inspired by Ito Jakuchu, taught in the Special Advanced Class (instruction for 3 days and stitching & questionnaire time) held by Kurenai-kai and JEC is available for an on-demand online course. This design was originally finished as a Kakejiku scroll, and you will be able to have yours made into one if you so wish. The head instructor will be Yamashita-san, chief of the Kurenai-Kai workshop, who has been a professional for many years at Kurenai-Kai. Simultaneous English interpretation will be given by JEC staff. This class was planned to be held in Japan Trip 2020, but it has been canceled due to the pandemic. With a sincere wish that you will be able to pursue the way of embroidery even during a difficult time, we decided to hold this class. Please take this rare opportunity to learn the unique expressions, that were born from Ito Jakuchu’s distinctive painting, and immerse yourself in stitching remotely.
Suggested phase level: Phase 7 and above*
If you register, you will be given with;
- Recorded lecture with video instruction
- Recorded follow-up session
*The suggested Phase level is phase 7 and above. However, if you are still in the below phases and wish to participate under the supervision of your teacher, you can register. Please consult your teacher if she/he can help you regarding the techniques above in Phase 7.
